Survey

I am taking a poll. Everyone keeps asking us what people in America think about the French elections. That's a little hard to answer since we are here. So, I am asking you! Please comment!

Do you think about the French elections at all?

Have the elections been on the news? in the papers?

Had you ever heard of Sarkozy BEFORE Sunday, May 6th?

Did you ever hear of Royal, the lady running against Sarkozy?

What do you think of the outcome of the elections? (Sarkozy won with 53% of the vote.)

Thanks for your input!

I didn't know there was an election either until it was over. Was it a change for the better?

I've actually been following the election, since I'm a foreign politics junkie. (or just a really big dork!) They cover it in the Economist, which I read every week. So yes, I knew both people and I think the election result is probably a good one.

Here are some answers from an American in Thailand. :)

Do you think about the French elections at all?
Yes. Mostly because I was interested to see if France would elect a women President. :)

Have the elections been on the news? in the papers?
Yes, a lot. In the local papers, on local news stations, and on CNN (we get the international version here, not the American version).

Had you ever heard of Sarkozy BEFORE Sunday, May 6th?
Yes.

Did you ever hear of Royal, the lady running against Sarkozy?
Yes.

What do you think of the outcome of the elections?
Not sure...time will tell.
